Another three points in their upcoming match against Finland's KuPS should be enough to seal direct entry to the knockout stages, especially following a prior stumble against Strasbourg.
Fringe Players Seize the Moment
This occasion provided a platform for some of Palace's lesser-used players to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning after joining on loan from Getafe, notched the account with a well-taken finish. Forward Eddie Nketiah contributed a second, finding the net for the second consecutive match.

After the break, coach Oliver Glasner took the chance to rest several players like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse came close to scoring with his first touch, only to see his effort blocked.
Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one attempt strike off both posts before being gathered on the line. Uche then missed a sitter of a chance, showing there is still room for development in his game.
The only concern for Palace was a second-half knock to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his senior debut, rounding off an otherwise positive evening for the visiting side.
